Under the Arch Studio features the work of fibre artist Esther Neufeld. With an extensive background in spinning, weaving and dying of fabrics, she is currently focused on the especially malleable and evocative medium of felting. Employing both wet-felting and needle-felting techniques, and using hand dyed wool, mohair and silk, she brings to life a full range of cameos and vignettes from the world around her. From the fulsome and tactile nature of her work springs forth a particularly vibrant reflection of the wonder, beauty and intense presence of the surrounding landscape and its myriad creatures.
